Good Odds Terms of Service

Last updated: 18 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and the Good Odds team, the independent developer of Good Odds ("we", "us"). By creating an account you agree to them, to our Privacy Policy and to the community rules below.

Good Odds is not a medical or crisis service. It's a wellbeing and social app. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and nobody monitors it for emergencies. If you're in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line now. For ongoing difficulties, please talk to a healthcare professional.

1. Who can use Good Odds

You must be 18 or older. You need one account, with accurate details, and you're responsible for keeping your sign-in secure. We may close accounts that belong to someone under 18.

2. Community rules

Good Odds works because people are kind here. On the walls, in friend chat and in Day Buddy, you must not post or send:

Be kind on Rough Day posts: no mocking, pile-ons or "just be positive".

3. Reporting, blocking and moderation

4. Your content

You own what you post and send. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, show and deliver it, only to run Good Odds. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies kept for safety reasons as described in the Privacy Policy. Don't post anything you don't have the right to share.

5. Day Buddy and friends

Day Buddy pairs you with a stranger for 24 hours, under random nicknames. Leaving ends the chat for both of you. Connections share nothing until each person chooses to. Removing or blocking someone ends what they can see and deletes your friend chat with them.

6. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app or on our website. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, or if the law requires it.

7. The service as it is

Good Odds is free and provided as it is. We work to keep it running and safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free, and we may change or stop features. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to NPR 10,000 or the amount you paid us in the last 12 months, whichever is more. We don't exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to exclude. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law where you live.

8. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal, and disputes go to the courts of Nepal. If you're a consumer in the EU, UK or another country with mandatory consumer protections, you keep those protections and can bring a claim in your home courts.

9. Changes

We'll tell you in the app at least 30 days before an important change to these terms takes effect. If you don't agree, you can delete your account before then.

10. Contact

The Good Odds team, Nepal. Contact us at hello@goododds.app, or in the app: open My Journey → Send feedback, choose "Other", and tick "You can email me about this" so we can reply.
